I bought these dresses for the girls in China last year - little did I know that they would both grow so much!  Thankfully they were still able to be worn but not for long. :)
Dim Sum in China Town with Opa and Margrit - so special to have them here to celebrate with us!!

Part II - Ski Holiday in Arosa Switzerland

Ah Lake Zurich!
Passing through Thalwil (where we used to live) on the train brought back many good memories.
Final Stop Arosa (after changing trains twice!)
Hotel Astoria - charming and quaint!
Our Inn Keeper's family shield

A room with a view!

Believe it or not, Patrick could even stand in our room.
Like I said, quaint. ;)

Our walk into the village

After a long train ride and a walk through the winter wonderland, we were ready for our Christmas Gala Dinner
Despite Lexi being a wee bit tired.
A surprise visit from Sami Klaus (if you can call him that!) was welcomed by all.
Heading back "home"

Patrick always managed to hop a ride with Lexi when Elle was not around.

Although the first few trys were fun - very quickly Lexi decided that she was not going to ski so that put an end to that.  Due to her adamant non-interest, we hung up her boots and skis on day 2, and instead Patrick and I alternated with Lexi time and Ski time.  It worked out great for all of us.
Ella skipped ski school one afternoon to ski with Papi.
After which we all enjoyed a horse and carriage ride through the village and around the lake.

Snoozing again!

Our evening of sledging

After warming up, ready for a yummy Raclette!
Another gorgeous day in the Alps!

In front of our favorite Pizzeria where we often met for lunch.
Lexi LOVED the snow and although she did not complain about the cold or all the clothes, she did not wear her mittens because then she could not touch/feel/eat the snow.
Getting into the "zone" before her ski race.

Ella's cheering squad
Despite the blizzard like conditions, Lexi continued to brave the storm in support of her sister.
#12 Coming into the finish line!

You can barely see the #1 on the block Ella is standing on - she and the boy next to her tied for 1st Place!

Proud to have a gold medal - and a GREAT end to a week of ski school!

Tschuessli Arosa!

And away we go!

After a fabulous week in the magical winter wonderland of Arosa it was time to head home.....but one thing is for sure....we will be back!
